Professional Accomplishments

 

Consultant to the Compliance Office at Clark Atlanta University

 

I wrote operational policies and procedures that ensured the University was in compliance with government regulatory agencies including policies and procedures for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. I wrote a Code of Conduct for faculty and staff, a Conflict of Interest and Commitment Policy and created the associated process flows.  In addition, I developed a project management process and managed the launch of the Compliance Office hotline including the creation of a script, standard operating procedures, process flows and other communication documents.

 

Senior Vice President of Prudential Bank (a subsidiary of Prudential Financial)

 

I built and managed the Bank’s Project Management Office (PMO) and strategic planning group reporting into The Bank President. I served a two-year term on the Bank’s Board of Directors and was a member of the executive management team responsible for developing the strategic direction of The Bank.  I managed the financial planning and analysis group responsible for developing forecasts and budgets as well as ad hoc financial analyses.  I was the Chairman of the Management Committee for the Prudential Connection, Prudential’s community service committee. As a result of the work of this committee, Prudential Financial received the 2003 Child Welfare League of America Corporate Advocate Award.

 

Senior Financial Analyst Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett Packard)>

 

I provided financial support or large projects. I developed project pricing and established financial risk mitigation strategies. I collaborated with internal and external auditors to guarantee the accuracy of project financials.  I created budgets and forecasts for the southeast services districts.

 

Financial Analyst with Citigroup

 

I provided financial support during a period of high growth to Citibank Credit Cards. I forecasted key business statistics and prepared a report of operating results for the Credit Card Division Chairman allowing management to monitor the state of the business.

 

I received my MBA in Finance from Syracuse University in New York and BA in Sociology from The Ohio State University.

I live in the Atlanta area with my golden retriever Zoe. In my free time, I read countless books and play a great game of tennis. I am an avid international traveler. Italy is my true love!
